Enter a world of action-packed, sword swinging fantasy in RECORD OF LODOSS WAR from Conspiracy Games. Based on the anime and comic book series by Kadokawa Shoten, LODOSS WAR is a hack-and-slash role-playing affair that will keep you glued to your Dreamcast through more than 40 hours of dungeon-crawling, monster-slicing exploration. You play as the hero (you decide on your character's name), who has just been brought back to life by the powerful wizard Wart. Your quest is to save the land of Marmo and stop the resurrection of the nefarious Goddess Cardice. Play ensues in an isometric view much like DIABLO, but the detailed graphics and 3D battles take place in real-time, requiring quick strategic combat skills. Dice your way through ogres, goblins, skeletons, bats, and more using upgradable swords or flesh-zapping magic spells. Collect valuable Mithrill and use it as currency to have the dwarf blacksmith enhance your weapons and armor. The rich, engaging world in RECORD OF LODOSS WAR is bursting with drama and danger.

| The game loosely follows the events that take place after |
| the anime, "Record of Lodoss War". You play a dead warrior |
| resurrected (cues in "Rise from your grave!" sound bite) by |
| the powerful wizard Wart. Though you don't remember who you |
| are, you assured that you were once a "powerful warrior and |
| leader". You are revived to prevent an evil from taking |
| control of the island Marma. You'll travel across this huge |
| island in search of weapons and knowledge that will aid your |
| quest, as well as finding the surviving heroes from the |
| Lodoss War anime. And when I mean huge island, you'll be |
| doing a lot of walking and exploring; not only are the |
| dungeons enormous, but traveling from dungeon spots will |
| require a lot of map viewing and time. All this comes from |
| a 3D isometric view, very similar to Diablo and that's not |
| the only thing that this game shares with Blizzard's mammoth |
| mouse-clicker. |
